Originally began as part of the “Season of the Force” here in Anaheim, CA for the Disneyland Resort, the attraction formerly known as Space Mountain got an overlay earlier this year as a way for the attraction to get people excited for “The Force Awakens”.
Since then, the attraction has gotten rave reviews and has done really well. I myself have really enjoyed this attraction as I am a Star Wars fan, and it does make you feel like you are right in on the action, tells an amazing story, in Disney fashion, and doesn’t even make you feel like you are on a roller coaster.
With this Star Wars theme overlay, we can’t help but wonder if this attraction is here to stay or if it is going to leave Tomorrowland once Star Wars Land opens in a few years.
But what we know for sure, is that Hyperspace Mountain has been announced to be another attraction in Shanghai Disneyland. This rollercoaster will now be featured as a permanent attraction rather than it’s counterpart Space Mountain.
How do you feel about this new overlay? Should the new parks only get upgraded versions of the originals, or should we try and keep the old and instill it on the new?
