An exciting announcement was publicly made for the Disneyland Resort yesterday, though it has been rumored since last week, the Village Haus Restaurant found in Fantasyland is now being converted into the Red Rose Tavern.
This announcement is made less than a month of the release of the live action Beauty and the Beast film starring Luke Evans, Emma Watson, and Dan Stevens.
The new themed restaurant is supposed to resemble that of Gaston’s Tavern seen in the films and is to be the restaurant to rival that of Be Our Guest in Florida’s Walt Disney World. Though not the lavish dining experience, guests will be able to enjoy various foods themed after the Academy Award winning film and to also include the ‘Gray Stuff’.
There have been mixed reviews from what I’ve seen so far, and it isn’t so bad. Many are just hoping it is a limited time thing as many are still on the hype of Pinocchio’s release from the Walt Disney Signature Collection. Others are thrilled that we will get a taste of the ‘gray stuff’ which has only been seen so far in Florida in their Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant.
Personally, I am excited to see the restaurant and thankfully will be able to visit it soon!
The new restaurant opens February 24, 2017!
